Stefan Woudenberg
Stefan Woudenberg is specialised in designing and implementing cross-border
projects and programmes, with a focus on Eastern Europe and the former
Soviet Union.
For more than 10 years, Stefan was directly involved in introducing new
businesses and restructuring (former) state-owned enterprises and ministries
in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union.
After completing his masters degree in Slavonic Languages and Literature, he
started his career as a management consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers in
1989. For more than a decade, he led major strategic change projects in both
Western and Eastern Europe. Stefan was responsible for establishing the
management consultancy practice of Coopers & Lybrand in Moscow and
St.-Petersburg, and for managing a prestigious European Commission policy
advice programme in the former Soviet Union.
In 1998 Stefan set up a global organisation for PWC to further develop a
vast portfolio of projects in emerging economies and developing countries
funded through the International Finance Institutions. Until 2001 Stefan was
based in Washington DC as leader of this organisation, which, in the end,
comprised fully staffed support units in Brussels, Warsaw, Nairobi, Calcutta
and Manila.
With a proven track record in building and leading international teams,
Stefan started his own company in 2002. Since then he has been advising
corporate clients on how to expand and improve their business in Eastern
Europe and beyond. A second focus of his work is on supporting public
organisations as independent team leader of multilateral projects.
