Peter Holt
For several years, Peter worked as an Instructor Officer in the Royal Navy and the Royal Army Educational Corps. From 1980 to 1987 he was a member of the academic staff of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and the National Police Staff College, Bramshill.
In 1987 Peter joined the Wiggins Teape Group and was directly responsible to the Director of Personnel for the training and development of 7,000 employees. He established his own company in 1990.
Peter has been involved in management development at operational and strategic levels in a wide variety of organisations in the manufacturing, financial, educational and hi-tech sectors. His recent assignments include:
- Strategic Consultancy with the C.E.O. of a leading UK software company
- Building high performance teams and leadership
- Designing and running accredited company-internal management development programmes
- Coaching managers for designing and implementing career development programmes for their teams
- Developing a computer based simulation for an international management programme for a blue chip electronics company
- Working with senior managers to implement a strategic programme to give impetus to previous quality initiatives.
Peter holds a diploma in Personal Construct Psychology and is qualified to use the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, and Saville and Holdsworth's OPQ and Motivation Questionnaires. He is a member of the IPD, the Institute of Management, the Investors In People accreditation panel for Hampshire Training and Enterprise Council and the Southern Regional Panel for the National Training Awards.
