Olga Novikova
Born in Moscow in 1974, Olga started her career as a lecturer and researcher in Modern History at the Moscow State University and the Institute of World Culture (Russian Academy of Sciences), during which time she also worked as an assistant to Aron Gurevich. From early on, Olga combined her work in Moscow with research at the University of Leiden and the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Studies (NIAS).
After completing her Ph.D. at the State University of Moscow in 2000, Olga decided to move to the Netherlands in order to combine her research on Modern Russia with a focus on its implications for working and doing business in Russia. One of her current projects is the publication of a book on the changes in Russian society and mentality during and after the perestroika.
