Karen Huchendorf

As a migrant from the United States, Karen became highly aware of the need to better support incoming corporate personnel to adjust to life in Australia. In 1991, she founded her own consultancy to guide the internationalisation of Australian organisations. Her services include:
  • Pre-departure programs for expatriates and their families, business travellers and Australia-based staff
  • Cultural orientation and repatriation programs for expatriates
  • Multicultural management and team building
  • Assessment and development centres.
Karen holds an MA in Philosophy and has graduated in Organisation Behaviour. She facilitated one of the earliest Intercultural Communication Workshops at the University of Minnesota and since then has delivered countless cultural training programs in the US and Australia. She currently is working on a formal qualification as an executive coach.

Karen is a Member of The St James Ethics Centre, The Institute of Management Consultants in Australia, the Australian Institute for Training and Development, the Australian Human Resources Institute, the Australian Institute of Management, and the International Society for Intercultural Education, Training and Research. Karen regularly publishes on cross cultural issues and is frequently invited to interviews and as a speaker/presenter on conferences and corporate events.
